Jon Collins has been working in reality television for over 20 years. He started as a tape logger on various TLC & Travel Channel shows and on the first season of HBO’s Project Greenlight. After that, he worked on seven seasons of ABC’s The Bachelor/The Bachelorette and two seasons of The WB’s High School Reunion where he climbed up the ladder to Post Production Coordinator. Once his interest in rose ceremonies ended, he worked in the story departments for such networks including MTV (Yo Momma, The Challenge: Free Agents, Is She Really Going Out With Him?), TLC (Trading Spaces, Our Little Family, Little People Big World), HGTV (Ellen’s Design Challenge, House Hunters), E! (The Girls Next Door, Total Divas, Mariah’s World, Rob & Chyna), Food Network (Cupcake Wars, Dinner Impossible), OWN (Mom’s Got Game, Chad Loves Michelle) and Lifetime (Bring It!, Project Runway, Little Women: Dallas). He was the Supervising Story Producer on Mailchimp Presents’ WERRRK!, TruTV’s Tirdy Works, and on E!’s Ashlee + Evan. Previously he was a Consulting Producer on Bravo’s Southern Charm New Orleans, Telemundo’s The Riveras and the Netflix series School of Chocolate. He was the Supervising Producer on Raising Heaven for go90, Racing Wives for CMT, Holiday Wars and Road to Halloween Wars for Food Network, and Red Table Talk for Facebook Watch (for which he received an Emmy nomination). Earlier, he was the co-executive producer of Murder House Flip for Roku and I Am Jazz for TLC, OWN’s Belle Collective and was the co-executive producer/post show runner on WEtv’s Bold & Bougie. He’s currently the executive producer/post show runner on the latest season of OWN’s Belle Collective.
Jon is also a graduate of the Training Center of Second City in Chicago and starred in over 10 television commercials for such brands including Lendingtree.com, Adidas, Baskin-Robbins and Red Stripe Beer. A former actor, Jon appeared on Boston Public, Less Than Perfect, Side Order of Life and Bones; he also executive produced and starred in the award-winning improvised mockumentary Fellowship of The Dice.
Originally from Oak Park, IL., Jon lives in Los Angeles with his husband Tom and their two adopted cats Luke and Leia.
